Pregnancy Bodywork

Pregnancy asks so much of your body. As your baby grows and your body changes, you may notice new aches and pains, tension through your hips or pelvis, discomfort when walking or sleeping, or simply feel like your body is working harder than ever before. Pregnancy Bodywork is a gentle, hands-on treatment designed to support both your physical comfort and your nervous system throughout pregnancy.

Unlike traditional pregnancy massage, Pregnancy Bodywork takes a whole-body approach. Every part of the body is connected through fascia, muscles and the nervous system, meaning discomfort in one area often has its origins elsewhere. Rather than simply treating where it hurts, we work with your body to encourage balance, improve movement and create space for greater comfort.

Sessions may include gentle myofascial release, soft tissue techniques, pelvic balancing, jaw and facial release, breath awareness, grounding practices and comfortable positioning using pillows and bolsters. Every treatment is adapted to your stage of pregnancy, your comfort levels and your individual goals.

Pregnancy Bodywork may be beneficial if you are experiencing:

  • Pelvic girdle pain or pubic symphysis pain (SPD)

  • Hip, lower back or sacroiliac discomfort

  • Rib or diaphragm tension

  • Neck, shoulder or jaw tightness

  • Round ligament discomfort

  • General muscular tension

  • Sleep discomfort

  • Anxiety, overwhelm or difficulty relaxing

  • A desire to prepare both body and mind for birth

Many women also choose Pregnancy Bodywork simply as an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with their changing body and feel supported during a significant season of life.

Who is Pregnancy Bodywork for?

A woman with styled hair, tattoos on her right shoulder, and a necklace is leaning over, possibly receiving a massage or doing yoga, with a blue wave painting in the background.

Your first appointment begins with time to talk. We'll discuss your pregnancy, your current symptoms, your birth preferences and what you hope to gain from the session. Treatment is never rushed, and you are encouraged to ask questions, change positions or pause at any time.

The bodywork itself is slow, gentle and always guided by your comfort. Throughout the session we may also explore breathing, nervous system regulation and body awareness techniques that you can continue to use throughout pregnancy and during labour.

Every session is trauma-aware, consent-based and tailored specifically to you.
